When we only have one week left for the elections in Ecuador and Peru, in which the candidates of Latin American socialism are contesting victory with those of the extreme right or neoliberalism and when we are celebrating Holy Week, which in Latin America is mainly the feast of the poor in the region, unlike Christmas.
Here we live the conversion of the Catholic Church from the religion of the rich to being the religion of the poor, as it was originally in the Roman Empire, but which became the church of the rich, conquerors, and European colonizers.
Today the Catholic Church has once again become the religion of the poor, thanks to the pandemic, in the most economically and health-affected region in the world, by covid 19 and has ceased to be the religion of Europe. The Catholic Church today has the largest number of followers among the poor in Latin America.
This is seen represented in Pope Francis, the first Latin American pope, who carried out the reconversion of the church of the rich or called the European Catholic Church, which reached all continents, thanks to the conquests of Spain, Portugal, and France. 500 years, with the conquest of the New World.
The Catholic Church has been the religion of the oppressors, since 400 AD, but as it happened in Rome, that Christianity became the religion of the slaves and the oppressed of the empire until then it was the political power of Rome with Constantine, and it became the religion of the feudal lords and the European empires, taking three directions, Orthodox in Russia and the countries of the former Byzantine Empire, Catholic in Southern Europe, Protestants and Anglicans in Northern Europe.
This Catholic Church of the poor, the religion of Latin America, today divides Ecuador and creates political parties to be the government, the traditional church of the rich, which dominates Quito, Guayaquil, and Cuenca, where the ecclesiastical leadership supports Guillermo Lasso, the billionaire banker, money launderer in tax havens, where he has more than 30 companies in Panama and the Caribbean, who do the lie. The way to come to power, through publicity or dirty campaign, can make fun of the laws of Ecuador, which prevent those who have money in tax havens from being candidates for public office, worse for president, but running as a candidate for the presidency, making deception, the axis of life, and his campaign, as an unconditional ally of the United States.
Lasso, is someone who never had too much and had a lot, so he wants to go back crazy and wants to put sticks in his eyes.
His more than 4,000 million dollars in Ecuador as assets, which is like having 40. billion dollars in the United States, because in Ecuador's basic monthly salary it is 10 times less than that of the USA, that is, more than Donald Trump, He has led us to believe that he is God's chosen one to govern Ecuador, as Álvaro Noboa, the world's largest banana exporter, once believed.
The money, the almost dementia turned into senile delirium and translated into an obsession with being president of Ecuador, for 12 years, with 3 expensive electoral campaigns, the accelerated physical deterioration that he suffers, after a spinal injury, they carry him to believe that you can buy and sell to your country. That money can do everything, from making you intelligent, immortal, owning Ecuador into a liar with legal and God's permission, to being a cheater, exploiter, creditor, and oppressor of Ecuadorians.
With his money he wants to buy first our votes, then our respect, our memory, which remembers, as if it were yesterday, that he was part of the government of Jamil Mahuad, one of the bankers who financed his campaign, then he was super minister of Economy, of that government, which allowed and facilitated the great bank failure, the disappearance of the sucre, the theft of money from bank depositors, from the Central Bank's reserves that backed the national currency and that in that year 1999 to 2000 earned 30 million of dollars, while millions of Ecuadorians, since then until today, have escaped the country in order to send remittances to their families.
Today, in the midst of a pandemic, in 2020 he has won more than in all the previous years of the Lenín Moreno government, who together with Donald Trump, and him, have governed, and have benefited from this country, leading Ecuador to the worst crisis of its recent history, which after the pandemic and the economic debacle has brought us down. He is a scavenger who gets rich when the country is in crisis, a fisherman in a troubled river.

Lasso wants the government to be able to live the delirium of insatiable greed, allow foreign military bases, control of the exercise, police, and justice in the hands of the USA, sell the lands without inheritance taxes, or capital gains, space and air traffic, water and hydroelectric power. minerals, gold. copper, titanium, oil, agricultural products, the electricity that we now export, privatize public companies, airport ports, privatize the health network, concession the education network to the UNE, privatize the road network with tolls, Irrigation channels use them to privilege water to plantations, dams, and especially the work of Ecuadorians, who wants to turn us into eternal most paid debtors, trapped in aggressive international and national indebtedness, wants to allow the Rich ranchers and shrimp farmers create their paramilitary army, allowing them the free use and import of weapons, as Uribe did in Colombia with the AUC.
He is convinced that the rich and the transnationals can save a model of government called neoliberalism, or runaway capitalism, the mechanism that allowed him to become a millionaire, and turned millions of Ecuadorians into poor people, who throw away their 3-year-old daughters. and 5 years on the other side of Trump's wall, to escape from Ecuador ruled by Lenín Moreno.
