But what strikes us capital residents the most is that the Municipality of Quito has scandalously increased the property tax. Finally, trade and tourism were brutally hit, especially in tourist neighborhoods such as La Mariscal, El Casco Colonial or Ciudad Vieja, and in the Middle of the World, there were no flights, no tourists, neither from within nor from outside the country , as the pandemic continues to terrorize the city.

It is clear to any blind person that if people are behind, or cannot afford electricity and water, it is silly to charge them more taxes and not expect a protest that will make them tremble.
