The past, present and future of Ecuador after the end of Trump, Moreno in the next elections and the pandemic

The destiny of Ecuador is determined by its past, its present and its possibilities in the future.

In the past, the destiny of Ecuador was marked by the fact that it was a colony of the Spanish Empire, a republic that first belonged to Greater Colombia, which made it one of the most powerful emerging nations of America until 1830, but this illusion only It lasted 8 years, after which we became one of the poorest and most unstable countries in South America.

This instability stems from the fact that from the beginning of our life as Ecuador, we were exporters of raw materials, these were obtained from indigenous people and blacks, who were not even recognized a salary, until the Liberal Revolution of Eloy Alfaro in 1895. In addition, the indigenous people were not recognized the right to land until 1968, when the First Agrarian Reform was carried out, promoted by the United States government, to prevent the ideas of Cuba and Che Guevara from spreading. For Latin America, this is from communism, which started with an agrarian reform, in which, unlike that of Ecuador, the state became the great landowner in Cuba, and in Ecuador the peasants became small owners called huasipungueros.

But the Agrarian Reform was only carried out in the Sierra, and then in 1974, in the Revolutionary Nationalist government of General Guillermo Rodríguez Lara, it was carried out in the Amazon, expropriating the indigenous nationalities of the Amazon from their ancestral territories and handing them over to the settlers, mostly indigenous and mestizo from the Sierra, in plots of 50 hectares, as in the colonization of the western United States.

At the same time, the power of the Catholic Church was fractured, which despite the Liberal Revolution, imposed secular education, state care of the sick, and separated the Church from the State, the Catholic Church, remained the largest landowner and educator, by an agreement with the Vatican, called The Concordat, which allowed him to impose presidents, control the army, as well as act as secret police, from the confessionals or indoctrinating from the classrooms, when after the Liberal Revolution, conservative governments returned , or Catholic liberals,

. The radical fracture occurred through the introduction of Protestant churches, such as the Evangelicals, which had the first radio station in Ecuador in the 30s, it was the most powerful private and religious station in the world HCJV, then came the indoctrination of the indigenous and poor, with many new so-called Christian religions, through the Summer Institute of Language, the Peace Corps, Mormons, etc. This divided the indigenous and Afro into Catholics, or alcoholics, semi idolaters, who practice religious syncretism, where God the Sun and Christ are the same, Virgin Mary and Mother Earth also and each saint identifies with nature, then, there is a holy of the sows like San Isidro Labrador, or a saint of the rain like San Pedro, thousands of virgins, etc. Protestants, whether Christian or nonalcoholic, are essentially capitalists, they believe that money is a prize from God, they do not believe in saints, nor in virgins, nor do they have their images in their houses or temples.

This struggle against landowners, exporters, bankers and the armed forces, whom we have to fatten in peacetime, defend in times of war and fear them in times of crisis, has marked our destiny, as suppliers of raw materials and work almost free, also started in 1830.

But since 2006, with the arrival of the Rafael Correa government, our destiny changes, we become suppliers of electricity, finished or manufactured products, and even suppliers of qualified labor, inside and outside the country, as It is experiencing an educational and health revolution, a new occupation of physical space, a revolution in transportation, communications, and public services. Access to information with the Internet, cell phones, satellite TV, transportation, plus a new role for the police, the army, which frees themselves from US control, after the departure of the US military from the Base of Blanket.

But in 2017, the new president Lenín Moreno, former vice president of Correa, betrays him and returns us to the past, which together with the pandemic and the economic crisis, leads Ecuador to a collapse, which is thought to be reversed in order of the government of Donald Trump, who managed us at will for these last 4 years, with the elections to be held on February 7, but which has a series of abnormalities or traps, which instead of being a relief can complicate everything and finally with the arrival of vaccines, which has become the world's illusion, to get out of this crisis complicated by being global and in real time.
